Leadership
To me, every person has their own voice, it is an oath to let the world know who they are. Whether I'm a Genius or not, I'm ready to become a leader for my ideals
so...
Here's what I did
Math-ximum Club
While studying for the entrance exam for the Hanoi High School for Gifted Students, I often felt overwhelmed by the vast amount of knowledge required in a wide range of subjects like literature, science, and physics. I was devastated and stressed by the thought that I would never acquire enough knowledge for the exam, but then a group of alumni returned to encourage us and give us learning tips. I got in contact with Viet, one of the alumni who was studying at HSGS, and with his guidance and encouragement I overcame my awe at the quantity required to learn and even successfully ranked fifth in the HSGS entrance exam.

Grateful for his invaluable support and life-changing guidance, I felt inspired to do the same for the community. In high school, I founded the Math-ximum club along with a few friends with the intention of providing guidance, advice, and math lessons to grade nine students studying for high school entrance exams. During the first year, we organized speeches and taught lessons at five grade nine classes, guided and worked with more than 20 students, some of whom got into their dream schools and later returned to help out.

Now, in addition to helping ninth-grade students, we occasionally organize trips to remote and underprivileged areas and provide math lessons at the local schools there, with a hope that the students there will later earn scholarships to gifted schools and improve their living conditions. Working in the club, I feel that I’m finally able to return the favor that Viet gave me two years ago. Moreover, as someone who once underwent the same stress and pressure, I deeply understood the power of guidance and encouragement during that period, and by providing the same support that helped me through difficult times, I feel that I’m helping a past version of myself in these students.

A LITTLE BIT
ABOUT
MELO FM STATION
The club inspires and honors traditional Vietnamese music
Let’s talk
Let’s talk
During high school, I joined with Minh, another Vietnam traditional music enthusiast, and founded the MeloFM Station club, a place where Vietnam music lovers can participate and share their passion. We sometimes open workshops to teach people how to create the instruments as a way to reuse their furniture that are no longer in use like tables or chairs or cupboards. Nothing is better than using used material to form a small family music band.
With the simplicity of the steps and the abundance of the material, the workshops are attended by various audiences from the neighbor, and the most favored tutorial is how we make the flute using straws to pierce the bottle’s bottom and its side, with a balloon to cover the top. Occasionally, the club also performs in our school’s events. Although our skills and performances are not that professional, we still receive lots of cheering and encouragement from our teachers and friends.

After spending time with Melo FM Station Club, I also completed a "music video" with my favorite instrument: Dan Bau.
CHESS CLUB
When I was a child I spend so much time for chess. Each game was an opportunity for me to train my logical thinking and strategic skills, helping me to develop patience and decisiveness. However, this passion also led me to a troubling realization: chess was not widely known in my community, especially among the younger students at a nearby ethnic primary school who lacked access to intellectual sports.
Driven by my passion and a desire to bring value to my community, I decided to establish the Chess Club with the goal of not only honing chess skills but also opening a door to knowledge for young students in remote areas. With the support of my school and help from friends who shared the same interest, the club organized basic training sessions and activities to introduce chess to the young students at the ethnic primary school.

In our first year, we organized over 10 sessions at the school, teaching nearly 30 students the basics—how to move pieces, plan basic strategies, and enjoy the intellectual thrill of the game. Some of the children shared that chess had helped them build confidence and even make friends. Seeing the spark in their eyes when they won their first game made me realize the true value of this initiative. Thanks to the guidance I once received when I first started my chess journey, I now have the chance to provide the same opportunity to future generations, helping them find joy and meaning in each move.

VOLUNTEER
WORK
"Giving back to the community...
has always been a significant part of my journey. Through various volunteer projects, I aim to make meaningful contributions to the lives of those in need, while also gaining invaluable insights into the world around me. From organizing educational support for underprivileged children to promoting environmental awareness and animal welfare, each experience has strengthened my commitment to creating a positive impact. Here, I share the projects and initiatives that have shaped my understanding of empathy, resilience, and the true power of community

CHILDREN VILLAGE HANOI
Three years ago, I first set foot in SOS Children's Village Hanoi, hoping to contribute through volunteer work and help the children there. At first, everything felt new. I didn’t know where to begin or how to make a meaningful impact. However, through each conversation, each handshake, and every warm hug, I gradually realized that my presence, no matter how small, brought joy and hope to these kids.
After these three years, I have learned not only to listen and empathize but also to grow with a more open heart. SOS Children's Village is not just a place where I came to give but a place where I received countless invaluable lessons. These years have left an indelible mark on me, teaching me the strength of compassion and humanity that I will carry forward on every path I take.
Over these three years, I’ve organized countless activities with the children, from teaching and crafting to playing games together. Seeing them laugh and learn, I felt not only joy but also the profound power of companionship and kindness.
Once, a quiet boy named An, who was often shy and reserved, grew more confident after practicing music with me. Eventually, he found the courage to perform his first song in front of the class. In that moment, I realized that sometimes, simple and steady support can work wonders.
